Want to capture those candid moments but dont have a camera on hand AND want to be in them? I feel the same. I don’t want images all dressed up on a beach. I want images of me genuinely connecting with my kids and my husband. You know, those moments when they’re in the undies eating breakfast and just waking up. Or us cuddling in the back yard or playing with bubbles, or eating ice cream. Or if we are at the beach I want to be crashing in the waves or digging for crabs with them. THOSE are the images that make me laugh when looking back. If you crave historical reference of yourself with your children you’re not alone and here to solve that. My name is Summer. I’m an advertising photographer with two small boys. Obviously my husband has all these amazing photos with the kids (that I built no less). On one occassion I asked my mother in law for photos of my husband and their family growing up to add to our family photo wall. Upon showing me all these amazing vintage photos I didn’t see hardly any of her. “Robin where are you?” And she heartbreakingly responds, “Well, I’m taking the photos.” I didn’t want that to be me!!! I want to have images with my beautiful babes. So here we are.

My style is distinct. You come to me for action, laughter, getting dirty, getting sweaty and playful images. I shoot 99% in black in white. And I want the shoot to a good time. Not a lot of “please stand still’s” or “don’t get dirty.” We’re here to capture you’re real life. Think of this less like a portrait and more like a documentary session.
